Saigon Perl’s boss knows how to do business. We had Steven, Misa, Yasu, HJ, Jim, and me eating there. All guys except Jim ordered #11 rice noodle w/ well done beef. He kindly offered an “super bowl” option and seperate receipt. Turns out the total for each receipt is 8 something, so I guess every receipt will get at least a dollar tip. Good business thinking. That’s not the highlight though.

After meal, HJ gave Jim a ride back. Steven drove Yasu and Misa back. We then got home wondering what to do for the rest of the day. Then I found a miss call on my cell that I forgot to bring out. Shannon Hsia and her sister Petty Hsia are at Bellevue Square. Kindly offered them to come and an hour later, we have the sisters here talking. HJ came at around 11 or 12? With a pizza with four toppings. It’s gone so quick that nothing is left when Yasu showed up later that night with couple bags of liquors. Lydia brought the game Shannon and Petty were talking about: Katamari.

This is the game play:

So what’s the point of the game? You have a sticky ball that starts small and you can roll up stuff that’s smaller than your ball. So you keep rolling and things got stuck onto your ball so your ball gets large. Eventually, it gets so large that you can roll up Statue of Liberty and the entire New York City. Something like that. Good for releasing stress.

So couple hours of Katamari pretty much killed everyone’s brain cell. When we made the conclusion that Petty better take Lydia back home since she’s got a final tomorrow. Lydia doesn’t seem happy. HJ then was going to take her back. Here comes the part where war began. Yasu called out: WMBA~ You guys are all WMBA~ Not too sure what that means, but it did keep HJ stayed. So after saying byebye to girls, the drinking game started.

Round one is a cup of Asahi. They said to finished it once. So naturally, I’m out on this cup already. That leaves Steven, Yasu and HJ. Second is a cup of sweet plum wine. All three of them finished it ez. Third is a cup of Heinikein. Nothing happened. 4th, everyone is taking time on Heinikein, very long time. 5th one, Yasu finally puked. His face turned from red to green-white. Interesting. Steven got pretty good in drinking too. HJ, no doubt, looks normal. He said it’s not a fair game though. Cuz Yasu had been drinking a lot before the game started. Not even mentioning the miso soup and fried rice we ate before they started the “game”.

Good night… :)

First Night in Seattle

Little recap about what happened yesterday…

Although the plane was delayed at departure, it arrived early ~_~. So i was waiting at the airport for about 20 minutes, reading Dan Brown’s Angels and Deamons. Have to say he’s good at make-believing scenarios. When Steven’s A4 got to the airport, it’s almost 12 midnight already. An old friend was on that car as well - Yasu.

Apprantly he was drunk, sounds very high. Haven’t seen him in person for quite a while. Couple years? So we decided to grab some chicken, bacon, and some liquor at QFC. After that, Steven started to cook. His vegitable Miso is pretty darn good. Here’s the recipe:

  • Ingridients:
  • Small purple potato
  • Yellow onion
  • Ginger
  • Miso Sauce
  • Water
  • Direction:
  • Boil Water
  • Shave and chop potato
  • Shave and chop onion
  • Shave and chop ginger
  • Put everything into boiling water
  • Put miso depending personal taste
  • 30 minutes

Bacon with egg is ez. Chicken, however, was something new. According to Yasu. Chop garlic, caraway, bacon, and pour some Heiniken over then bake it for 15 minutes. Result? Smells yummy.

Met a new friend, Misa? Hopefully spelled right. She was suspected to have Appendicitis. We went to pick her up at 4, and Steven carried her to the car. After getting home, feeding her some meso soup, it turns out that she got better. Well, she didn’t eat anything since waking up at 5, what do you expect? Anyway, we didn’t send her to ER.

The night ends at around 7. Sleepy and tired. Happy though…
