It’s been dead for a while, but nevertheless, it’s back up now. The Project UCSD is at http://project.ucsd.edu/, and currently it only has the old UCSD Professor, and CampusCalendar (I think Jason just made that name up). There are ideas, but we shall see how it will play out. All these student organization stuff looks like a busy 2007-2008 to me, not even including the two hypothetical research papers that hopefully will materialize.

Quite a huge list of todos, and I wonder if it is even possible. Dream Big.

有用過 Wordpress.com 的人對它內建的 Stats 肯定不陌生，完全不需設定而且報告簡單易懂。那個 Stats 被作成 Plugin 放出來了: [Automattic Stats]。要使用它需要有個 Wordpress.com 的 API key，然後瀏覽資料本身是存放在 Wordpress.com 上的。

這東西用在自己架的 Blog 上有許多優點:

1. 不需要額外花費資料庫空間 / CPU Time 來記錄 Stats。
2. 相容 WP-Cache：因為是 javascript 在丟 request，不像一般的 Plugin，一開 cache 就會停止記錄了。
3. 與現有的 stats plugin 相容，理由同 2。

相對的它的缺點就是你想要詳細點的資料 (像是 Counterize 那種程度) 的話，它沒辦法給你 \囧/

都裝吧 XD

Update: 最大的缺點是，要連回 Wordpress.com 才看的到 stats XD
